Indiegogo video and campaign for Remember Heroes

Remember Heroes Launches Indiegogo Campaign to Decorate 2,000 Veteran’s Graves

RH HQ Press Release (Sept. 7, 2013) – Remember Heroes, a startup company that enables loved ones to honor and virtually visit the gravesites of deceased American veterans, has launched a crowd-funding campaign on Indiegogo. The money raised online will enable Remember Heroes to quickly expand its service to include all 3.7 million veterans buried in 128 National Cemeteries.

Remember Heroes, a client of TECH Fort Worth, places fresh flowers on veteran’s graves and returns a virtual tour to the family of the deceased. Currently, the service is offered in 10 national cemeteries but Remember Heroes plans to quickly to expand to serve all National Cemeteries.  Orders and requests for placement are taken at RememberHeroes.org.

Prices start at $150, 25% of which is donated to military-affiliated organizations. Remember Heroes also provides flowers and virtual tours for free to the families of soldiers killed in action in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Indiegogo is an international crowd-funding site where anyone can raise money for film, music, art, charity, small businesses, gaming, theater and more. “We chose Indiegogo because it allowed us to capture the impact of this service through video,” said Nick Cain, Remember Heroes’ Chief Operating Officer. “The money we raise will be used to rapidly establish service at the largest and busiest cemeteries, which maximizes the benefit we provide to those who have sacrificed so much.”

Remember Heroes is able to initially serve the families and friends of more than 1.7 million deceased veterans in National Cemeteries located in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX; Riverside, CA; Honolulu, HI; Denver, CO; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; St. Louis, MO; Long Island, NY; Arlington, VA/Washington, D.C.; Bushnell, FL and San Antonio, TX.
